Sharon Beagle Ahearn

Sharon Beagle Ahearn is a 1974 graduate. She played both basketball and softball during her career at Central Columbia. In basketball she was a member of the 1972-1974 Columbia County League & District IV Championship teams. She lead the team in scoring her senior year. In softball she was a member of the 1972-1974 Columbia County League championship teams. The 1973 and 1974 softball teams were undefeated, and the basketball teams lost just one game each season. During her senior year Sharon was selected the Most Athletic Female, received the Extracurricular Activity award and was Senior Class Honor Student.

Sharon graduated in 1978 from Penn State University, where she played tennis and basketball. She later earned a masters degree in sports management from the University of Massachusetts. Sharon coached high school softball and basketball (1981-84), was an Assistant Women's basketball coach at Amherst College (1979-80), was the YMCA Executive Director in Richmond, VA. (1984-1989), and headed the Women's tennis program at Mount St. Mary College (1997-1998). She is currently the Associate Vice President for Health Professions at Orange Community College in Middletown, N.Y. Sharon is married to Dan Ahearn and the couple resides in Milford, PA.

Amy Cole Lukasiewicz

Amy Cole Lukasiewicz is a 1985 graduate. She was on the swim team and ran track during her career at Central Columbia. Amy was a diver on the swim team. She was a three-time District IV Champion. At states Amy finished 23rd as a freshman, 11th as a sophomore, 21st as a junior, and 2nd as a senior. She holds the distinction of being the first swimmer in the history of Central Columbia to win a metal at states. Amy also held the pool and school diving record at Central Columbia up until 2007. Amy was also selected the Northeastern PA Swimming & Diving League Athlete of the Year.

In track Amy was a sprinter. Amy was 2nd in District IV in the 100-meter dash her freshman year and was a state qualifier her senior year. In addition, she was a cheerleading captain for the football and basketball teams.

Amy went to Bloomsburg University for two years, completing the Pre-Physical Therapy program with a 4.0 GPA. Amy went on to get her BS in Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University and her Advanced Master's Degree in Orthopedics with a 4.0 GPA from Hahnemann University. Amy has been published in JOSPT (Journal of Orthopedics and Sports Physical Therapy). She is presently a physical therapist at Pain Relief and Physical Therapy and at Saint Joseph's University. She resides in Havertown, PA with her husband Bill and 2 boys, Cole and Reed. She currently works as a clinician as a manual therapist and teaches in the PT program at Arcadia University.

Brian DeWitt

Brian Dewitt is a 1981 graduate. Brian was a standout for Central’s basketball team. He was the center for the 1981 state championship team that set a record for most team wins. He was named second-team all-state in his final season.

Dewitt played basketball at Bucknell University, where he earned a bachelors degree in civil engineering. He then received a masters degree in construction management from the University of Maryland in 1994. Dewitt lives in Ellicott City, Md.

Robert Rohm

Both teacher and coach, Bob Rohm was a successful football coach at Central for 14 seasons and compiled a 95-63-6 mark. He also coached at Bloomsburg High School for six years and was an assistant coach for the Bloomsburg University football team for four seasons. While coaching the Blue Jays, Rohm's teams won the three Susquehanna Conference championships, two Central Susquehanna Valley Conference championships, five Eastern Conference Division championships, and in 1981 the Eastern Conference Class C championship. The long-time coach also assisted Central's wrestling team for ten years.

After graduating in 1956 from Muncy High School, where Rohm earned 12 varsity letters in football, wrestling, and baseball, he attended Bloomsburg State College and graduated in 1960. Rohm won 12 more varsity letters and is a member of the school's Sports Hall of Fame. He was a PSAC football and baseball all-star and a two-time PSAC wrestling champion. He highlighted his career when he captured a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics wrestling crown as a 157-pound senior. Rohm later earned a masters degree from Bloomsburg state College. In addition to coaching after college, he taught social studies at Montgomery, Bloomsburg and Central Columbia. Sadly Rob passed away in 1994, surviving are his widow, Kathy, and six children.

John Walker

John Walker is a 1985 graduate. He played basketball and was on the track and field team during his career at Central Columbia. In track John high jumped, triple jumped, was part of the mile relay team, and ran the intermediate hurdles. During his sophomore and junior years John placed third at districts in the high jump. He was also part of the mile relay team who finished fifth at districts his junior year. John set the school record in the High Jump and the Triple Jump during his sophomore year. Walker was a league, district, and state champion in the high jump during his senior year, re-establishing his own high jump mark by reaching 6 feet, 8 inches at the state meet.

John graduated from Bloomsburg University. During his junior and senior year he was Class President. He went on to Katz Graduate School where he was Vice President of the student body. Walker is working in the telecommunications industry. He and his wife, Tracy, live in Easton, PA.
