Tony DaRe Jr

Tony DaRe, Class of 1996, played football, basketball, and baseball all four years during his career at Central Columbia. He was the Central Columbia Male Athlete of the year, received the Central Columbia Tri Athlete Award both his junior & senior years and was recipient of the Bob Rohm Memorial Award his senior year. In football he was a three-year starter, team captain and MVP his senor year, and team defensive MVP both his junior & senior years. He was selected as a first team CSC All Star at Linebacker his junior year, first team CSC at Linebacker and Tight End his senior year, Press Enterprise and Sunbury Daily Item first team both his junior and senior years, and Reading Eagle All-Anthracite his senior year. In basketball Tony was a two-year starter and team captain his senior year. He was selected as a second team CSC All Star his junior year, first team CSC, Press Enterprise, Sunbury Daily Item, and Reading All-Anthracite his senior year.

Tony went on to play football for four years at Wilkes University, lettering all four years and was a starter at linebacker for three years. He was a team captain and team MVP his senior year. He was selected as a first team MAC All Star at linebacker both his junior and senior years, ECAC Regional first team All Star, Division III Regional third team All American at linebacker his senior year. He was also selected to the MAC All Academic team three times.

Tony lives in Oak Park, Michigan, and is the founder and President of BSI Corporate Benefits, an employee health care benefits provider.

John Fogarty

John Fogarty is a 1995 graduate. He played football, wrestled, and was on the track team during his career at Central Columbia. John was a three time Tri Athlete Award winner. He won the Robert Rohm Memorial Award and the John Creasy Memorial Award his senior year and was a two time Carl Everett Memorial Award winner.

In wrestling John was a three time Blue Jay Invitational Champion, a four time Columbia County Tournament Champion, three time District IV Sectional Champion, a two time District IV Champion, a two time PIAA State Regional Champion, a three time PIAA State Qualifier, a two time PIAA State Medalist, finishing third his junior year and second his senior year. John compiled a career record of 116-14-2, going 32-2 his senior year. John still holds the school record for wins, with 116. John also was the Press Enterprise Most Valuable Wrestler his senior year and a three time PA Wrestling Coaches Assoc. All State Wrestler. In football he was a two time CSC All Star Outside Linebacker, being named CSC Linebacker of the Year and All Anthracite Outside Linebacker of the Year his senior year.

John went on wrestle four years at Cornell University, starting all four years, was an NCAA National Qualifier, ranked in Division I Top 12 by Amateur Wrestling News, and was a three time Ivy League Champion. John is presently living in Allentown, PA, where he is a Store Manager for a Wal-Mart Super Center.

Ruth Riale

Ruth Riale, was a long time teacher, coach, and advisor at Central Columbia and Scott Twp. Schools. During her years at Central she introduced field hockey and coached girl's basketball, and softball. She was the cheerleader advisor/coach for most of her years at Central & Scott Twp. Her cheer-leading squads won numerous International Cheer-leading Foundation Championships and received numerous Top Performance Awards at the Danville Cheer-A-Rama. She also wrote the Central Columbia Alma Mater. Ruth is the mother of a daughter, Sidney and a son, Joseph. She is retired from teaching and lives in Pittsburgh, near her son.

Rayne Yori

Rayne Yori is a 1978 graduate. She played basketball and softball all four years during her career at Central Columbia, along with playing field hockey for two years. She led the softball team to back to back Columbia County League Championships during her junior and senior year as a pitcher. She had a career record of 40-7, going 15-1 her senior year.

Rayne went on to play four years of softball at Penn State University, receiving a Division I Scholarship. She started all four years and was named the team's MVP during her senior year. Rayne is presently living in Bear, Delaware, and is a VP/CFO for Produce Marketing Assoc. of Newark, Delaware.

1983 Softball Team

The 1983 Softball Team, coached by Duane Ford and assisted by Buddy Hartman, went 20 & 4, won the District IV Championship and went on to finish third in the state, losing to Kutztown in the Eastern Finals and then beating Seton LaSalle in the State Consolation game.
