Mike DaRe

Mike DaRe

Mike DaRe, class of 1999, was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and track & field. Mike was a member of the 1998 Eastern Conference Championship Football Team. In 1998 he was named All-CSC First Team Linebacker, Linebacker of the Year, and Second Team Fullback. During his football career at CCHS, Mike was an All-State Linebacker, was #1 in career tackles, and #1 in season tackles. Along with those awards, Mike was on the District IV All-Star Team, All-Anthracite First Team Defense, and overall Team MVP. In basketball, Mike was a member of the 1999 District IV Championship Team. He was 1998 and 1999 CSC First Team Defense and 1999 CSC First Team All-Star. Mike was a State Qualifier in 1998 for the Discus and was named to the Press Enterprise First Team. After graduating from Central Columbia High School, Mike attended Wilkes University. While at Wilkes, Mike was a 4 year starter, 2 year team MVP, MAC First Team Linebacker, ECAC First Team Linebacker, and USA All-American Third Team. Currently, Mike is a Senior Account Supervisor for Taylor PR.

Trent Flick

Trent Flick

Trent Flick, Class of 1997, was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and track & field. Trent was a member of the 1993 Central Susquehanna Conference Championship Football Team along with the District IV Football Championship, and Eastern Conference Football Championship. Trent was also a member of the 1994 District IV Championship Football Team as well as the 1996 CSC Football Championship. In 1996, he was named All Anthracite Small School, First Team Press Enterprise Running Back, CSC Offensive Back of the Year, CSC Defensive Back of the Year; he received the Robert Rohm award, and was Central Columbia Male Athlete of the Year. During his football career at CCHS, he is 2nd All Time Leading Rusher, 2nd All Time in Total Yardage, 2nd All Time in Total Points, and 4th All Time in Interceptions. In basketball, Trent was named 2nd team CSC in 1996. Trent was also a member of the 1997 Susquehanna Valley Conference AA Championship Track & Field Team and in 1996 was a District qualifier. After graduating from Central Columbia High School, he attended Bloomsburg University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. While at BU he was a 4 year starter on the Football Team and was named 2nd team PSAC Defensive Back. Currently, Trent is a Nursing Home Administrator and is married to Abbey Flick. They have a daughter Alyxandra.

Uyi Osunde

Uyi Osunde

Uyi Osunde, Class of 1999, was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and track & field. Uyi was a member of the 1998 Eastern Conference Championship football team. Osunde was the 1998 Defensive Linemen of the year, Daily Item All Star, Newswatch 16 All Star, a member of the All Central Susquehanna Conference All Star Team for offense and defense, and a member of the 1999 Central Susquehanna Conference II All Star First Team and All Defensive Team. Along with those awards, he was also on the PIAA All State Team and All Anthracite Team. In basketball, Uyi was a member of the 1999 District IV Championship Team. He was a 2 time Press Enterprise All Star, a member of the All Anthracite Team and PIAA All Star Team, and a part of the 1998 CSC Division II All Star First Team. Osunde placed eighth in the 4 x 100 relay. In 1999, he placed third at the District IV Meet in both the 100 meter dash and shot put. He placed fifth in the high jump, and was also a member of the state qualifying 400 meter relay team. After graduating from Central, Uyi attended the University of Connecticut in 2003. Uyi is the career leader for tackles for a loss with 47, and also career leader for tackles with a total of 292. Osunde signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. Currently, Uyi is a school counselor.

Kirk Seesholtz

Kirk Seesholtz

Kirk Seesholtz, Class of 1990, was a three sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and baseball. Kirk was a member of the 1989 Central Susquehanna Conference Football Championship along with the 1989 Eastern Conference Division II Football Championship. In 1988, he was named to the Press Enterprise All Star First Team for Defense. In 1989, he was the Central Columbia Football Senior Offensive Player of the year, and had 1,003 passing yards. In baseball, Kirk was a member of the 1987, 1988, and 1989 Columbia County League Championship Teams. He was named to the 1990 Columbia County All Star Team. After graduating Central Columbia High School, Kirk attended Lebanon Valley College and received a B.S. in Biology. At Lebanon Valley he played baseball and football for 4 years. Currently, Kirk is a Central Columbia Biology Teacher. He was previously a teacher and head baseball coach at Millville High School. He is married to Kara Seesholtz and they have two sons Ky and Koy.

1993-94 Football Teams

The 1993 and 1994 football teams, coached by Harry Mathias, were crowned District IV Class AA Champions. The 1993 football team completed the year with a 12-1 record. During the 1993 season, they held 7 teams scoreless. They outscored Wyalusing 47-6 to become District IV Champions. The 1994 team completed the year with a 10-3 record. They beat Line Mountain 13-12 in the District IV Championship game.
